Brief Description: Refurbishment and alterations to an existing school.

The first Phase of the project ran from July 2018 to early September 2018 consisting of refurbishment and alterations to an existing school, years 1 to 4. The second phase from September to early October 2018.

Work undertaken

Trevor Jones Contracting successfully secured the project in June 2018 and started late July with a tight program to complete by 3rd September 2018 ready for the children’s return after the summer holiday.

During the six week construction period, Trevor Jones Contracting undertook the following installations:

All demolition and strip out of the existing building.
Decommission and removal of all mechanical and electrical etc.
New heating throughout, hot and cold water services, plant room alterations and Asbestos removal to the plant room.
Construction of new timber stud walls, installation of steel beams, installation of new external windows and doors.
Refinished hall floor and lighting.
LED lighting throughout.
Complete new Fire Alarm installation.
New small power and distribution.
Complete decorations including new plasterboard and suspended ceilings throughout.
Minor roofing works and external alterations.
Supply and installation of new bespoke cubicle systems and toilets.
